Formal Dress For Tall Teen!
Hi~ My daughters formal dance for the 8th grade will be in June. She is 6` tall, model-type build, and I cannot find a dress in tall size anywhere!!! They have plenty of Plus sizes...but none for tall. Does anyone have one for sale or know where I can find one. She is a 9 Jr....not sure what that would be in a womans size.

Nancy i do not know what your budget is but i can custom made her one. And have the hemline as long as she needs no extra charge.

I can`t tell you where to get them but i can tell you that there are two designers that have been good for me. I am also a tall size and i do ballroom dancing with my fiance which has given me the opportunity to search out bargins and get a number of dresses for different styles of dance. The designer names that i have found fit me better for length are Ralph Lauren and Oleg cassini (who does make other cloths than wedding dresses). Just to give you an idea though... I am a junior build even though i am not really a junior and usually take a size 4 tall. My size 6 regular oleg cassini wedding gown fits me perfect to the floor. You can get both of these name brands on ebay i believe ...otherwise i`d say to look in Daytons (ralph lauren) or davids bridal or other birdal/ formal wear boutiques(oleg)

I have the same problem!! ...FYI, the junior size converts to probably a 6 or 8 in Miss sizes (woman). USUALLY all 6-8 are long enough....as they are made with extra length to be altered for shorter women. I`m almost 5`11" and usually never have to worry about length for a gown...
