Catholic/Christian Wedding HELP

Me and my fiance have been together for 9 years. He proposed on Valentines Day. We have always had issues with our religions. He is Catholic, I am Christian. Both families are strong in their own religion. What do we do for a ceremony. We are thinking about having 2 ceremonies in the same day with 1 reception. Is this a good idea?

Its going to be very complicated to have two ceremonies in one day. I would try to find a way to compromise somehow.

Have him check with his Priest regarding performing an Ecumenical ceremony. I`ve attended a wedding that included a Catholic Priest and a Jewish Rabbi. The bride was Catholic, the groom was Jewish. It turned out beautifully. Both were well represented in the ceremony. Some churches do allow this.
