Irish/Celtic Wedding-Need Advice

I need some ideas for a Irish/Celtic themed wedding. I have picked out some Celtic invitations and may have some sort of Irish favor. I just need a few other things to tie it all together. I was thinking about the bagpipes but everyone says they sound like a funeral. I was also thinking of having Irish dancers perform a dance at the reception. My fiance also like the idea of having a steel drum band play during dinner but the themes clash. Any advice?
