Centerpieces For Long Rectangular Tables
Does anybody have any good ideas for centerpieces for rectangular tables? all my original ideas were more ideal for round tables - tall, w/ hanging flowers or hanging votives. We have since found a gorgeous reception site BUT the tables are rectangular, seating 4 on each side. The usual centerpieces i am seeing in my searches are round & full, which will not fit right on the rectangular tables. Also, there is the issue of still leaving room on the tables for the food! any suggestions? oh, the date is 9/18. Thanks!

The tables at my cousin`s wedding were also rectangular and arranged in long rows. What she did was use a small about 7" vase with a small boquet of flowers in each vase at the center of each table, then found matching glass votives to place on the sides of the vase so that they formed a little line parallel to the long end of the table. It looked really nice. Simple, yet elegant. I think as long as whatever you choose flows to the sides (parallel to the long end of the table which guests will be seated at) rather than flowing out on all sides in a round shape then you`ll be able to create very nice full center pieces similar to what you had planned. You`ll just need to change them a little bit so that the flow is different.

What about chapel planters on a mirror and in between scattered rose petals or autum leaves or dried flower? The planters you could give to your guest..
