September 11 Wedding

I`m very glad you feel the same way. People get married on Pearl Harbor Day, D-Day, my grandparents date of death, etc. Life goes on.

Yes, life goes on, and we Americans will not forget September 11.

Nobody`s saying they are forgetting Sep 11. They are celebrating their marriage, there is no connection between their wedding and the terror attacks, so what is the problem. To associate a single day with an event and chastise those who see it as a symbol of togetherness is wrong. If you want to get married on sep 11, by all means do so. For that matter, get married on Dec 5, June 5, Aug 11 (these days are all associated with tragedy). The day is not about the tragedy, it is about your marriage. Remember the people who died sep 11 every day of the year, not just on one day.

I am also getting hitched on Sept 11< most of the time when I tell people that day I always get (WHAT)!I guess their small brains cant look beyond 911 ! But most everyone else seems a bit smarter ,As to say celebrate that day and never forget like the people here in this forum ! Good Luck and Life to everyone here !!!!!!!!!!!!

I am also getting married on this day. We thought it was fitting for us because on September 10, 2001 was the first night that I spent away from my fiancee and I was in newark, NJ. I made it home that night and I will never forget anything that happened that day.

I am getting married as well on September 11 ( hopefully..:)..Some people gave me discomfort faces...but the most important thing is that my family and my soon to be husband are OK with that...Life goes on...but we will not forget about 911...
