Re-Affirmation Of Vows One Year Later!!

My husband and i were married last year on June7th and we only invited our immediate family (15 guests in total) In fact we didn`t even tell anyone we were doing it as we were married three weeks after he proposed!! We are now re-affirming our vows and having a dinner dance reception to celebrate our wedding(or anniversary!!) It will be a formal event and we will be wearing our wedding outfits and would like others to wear wedding attire also. I need help with two things

1- how should i word the invitations (my parents are not contributing financially!)

2- does anyone know how we should go about performing the ceremony?? we were thinking of showing our wedding video to our guests and then we enter the room and renew our vows in a wedding style? then move for drinks and dinner afterwards?

Please help as this is causing more stress than arranging my actual wedding did!!!

Thanks

Congratulations on your upcoming event.

If you`d like your guests to be dressed a bit more formally, your invitation paper/style should indicate this. I would recommend something of this sort

Mr. Joe Schoo and Mrs. Kathy Shooo
Request the honour of your presence at
Their vow renewal service on
September twenty-third two thousand and four
At four thirty in the afternoon at
Grace Lutheran Church
Somecity, USA

A separate reception card would read:

Reception immediately following the ceremony
Greenhills Country Club
1000 Richpeople Lane
Greenhills, MN

Personally, I wouldn`t recommend you play a video of your original ceremony -- I`d just have them witness your renewal.

Good luck!
