I would do what you are comfortable with as a Couple.
Don`t let peoples Expecatations keep you from doing what you WANT for Your wedding.

HI! Both my fiance and I are second weddings. We are getting married in April. According to Emily Post, you should have a small subdued wedding if you want too. Cannot agree more, do what you please it is YOUR wedding and there are no rules!

We both had large weddings the first time and we are having a medium size one this time and this time it is our list of guests (not our parents) and what we really want. We are older and can afford it and we want our family and friends there to celebrate our day. Some had a hard time with this but tuff cookies I say. I am even wearing a white dress, all beaded with barely a train. Something I could not afford the first time. I was married previously for 24 years so it has been nearly 30 since I was first wed and personally I like doing what I and my fiance want this time. My adult son is giving me away.

We are having a dinner reception and dance with a DJ and a cake and boquet and garter toss too. Nothing says we cannot have fun while we are at it.

I have lost both of my parents and my mom just passed away in July and I cherish who is left and my friends and we were not about to just elope or slink away to appease anyone. So go ahead and plan what you can afford. I guess that is the only drawback, you are paying for it this time.

Best of luck to you.

Angie if you are getting married this June you better hurry and rent your church, hall for reception etc. June is a very busy month for weddings and I was going to be married in June but, when I checked a year ago they had all the dates already booked! One lady told me some places were reserved 2 years ahead of time! Ugg So we said forget it and chose March! ;)
Good Luck and Best Wishes!
