Wanting To Be Popular

If you wanna be popular wear the bran name clothes such as abercrombie, american eagle, hollister co, and aeropostale. Go into those stores and get lil mini skirts that show some skin girl!~ and in hollister there are open neck , cute lil wide nech shirts that you wear a spaghetti strap hirt under it , wit sone matching flip flops!

Although clothse arn`t everything everythingit is most of it. Try out for cheer or somethin(if ur ne good if you know ur not save ur self the embarrassment) and start hanging around all the pplz that ya wanna be aroung ,... Now im not saying follow them around everywhere they go because they WILL say something to you about it if they dont like it. But if you see one of them jus sittin there doin nothin then do somethin like drop ur pencil or sumthin and mabey they will pick it up for ya. Then try to start a conversation.....but if they r snobbs they might tlk bout u behind ur bak ........but by wht u said they dont seem like it to me!

So go for it girl!

There is more to life than being `popular" and popular people normally change their friends quicker than you can bat an eye. It is not the quanity of friends but the quality. It is better to have a few close friends than a bunch of girls pretending to be your friend.
I am 26 yrs old and I have had the same 2 girlsfriends my entire life almost. One has been my friend since birth, our mom`s were friends in jr high and high school and the other I have been friends with since we were 9. I used to be really popular until I moved to a new school where everybody had known everybody all their lives and I was an outsider and never wanted there, I made a few close friends but after high school I do not talk to any of them anymore, excpet the 2 previously mentioned.
And in 6th grade, I think mini-skirts and speg, straps are a little inappropriate, have a little more class or you will be "popular" but for all the wrong reasons.
I know I am a little older but let me tell ya, I have a 12 yr old sister going through the same thing and I also have 2 kids of my own.
Be yourself and if people don`t like you, that is their problem. You will have that, not every person in the world is going to like you. And if people can`t like you for who you are and not the clothes you wear, than they aren`t worth being friends with. But DO NOT ever try to be somebody or something you are not.

PS.. There is more activities than cheerleading.

I can`t belive that so many young girls dress like snobs just to be cool.
Let me tell you something I don`t dress like a slot and i`m popular.
Just make friends you don`t have to have one billion friends you just need some to not make life so boring.
You are only in grade 6 i see that your a child hey so was I but being popular is not everything.
If your not being your self then that means that in side you are not popular.
Think about what your going to do for a living not about what other people will think about you.
That`s the most important thing in school not guys or being popular it`s about your future job.
In a few 4 or so years your not going to even know those people anymore and there not going to know you.
I understand that you want to have fun hey who dosen`t but when your a teen it`s the most important years of your carere.
If your not cool now you will be later on when you`ll make a lot of $cash$.
So think about it you seam like a smart person don`t blow it!

Im popular in my school its not allways thebest choice but i can see how you feel. Wear the brand name close and maybe talk to them a bit but if there fight with yoy you have to get them back

Although I agree that popularity isn`t the key to everything, and will certainly... Not be the answer to all of your problems. I can understand why someone would want to be popular, especially facing the insecurities of a new school. I guess dressing the right way might help you out, because people tend to be fairly superficial...but really, just don`t be shy, just be yourself. Because, if you`re not, they might start talking to you but sooner or later they`re going to see through that and know that you`re not being yourself and then they will most likely dismiss you. Just be yourself, and try not to let popularity make or break you.. And if it does... They`ll dismiss you because of that alone. They don`t want to be wanted by people they want.

Just be yourself ... Real friends like you for who you are not for what you look like ... If you pretended to be somebody that your not then you wouldnt be happy bcuz you wouldnt be the real you ... If they dont want to be friends then their probably not good enough for you. Just be smart and tell yourself what you wanna do ...

I just watched the movie mean girls and you shouldnt let popularity take over your life. Its stupid to waste your time. I am sure your a wonderful friend and beautiful girl who just wants attention but, girl being who your are says alot about yourself.

Ok... Just so everyone knows being a cheerleader will not make you popular. I have been one all four years of high school and if anything it has lost me popularity points. I dont know about your school, but here cheer is a sport. We are two time state champions, and our routine this year is awesome. You shouldnt get into it just cause u want to be popular, its about hard work and dedication. People on our squad can lift just as much, if not more then the football players. Neways, remember, any boy can hold a girls hand, but only the elite can hold her feet.
