I`m Getting My Bridesmaids Crazy?
Please what do you think, I`ve trying to choose the dress for my bm, they are only 3 so how hard it can be, but I can`t get them to choose, or like anything, I`m open with everything, I just want something that I like, and that they also feel good, and they can use it again, I`m not even asking for a traditional bm dress, but, I`m putting all my life on my wedding, and also a lot of money, I don`t want anything to look ugly or cheep, I \`m wearing a CH gown, and I don`t want my bm to look like s.... But offcourse, they are my friends, and I love them, but ok, I told them how much they were willing to spend, and one toldme $100, I tried to look for dreesses on that range, but I can`t find anything that I like, I was thinking about $200-300 am I asking too much? because the wwedding is in octuber, so she has time for save, and then, she has a job, and her parents still support her, the other 2 are more open to spend in something they feel good, and can use again, what should I do with the one that thinks that 200 is too much, and 300 means that I`m crazy? I don`t want to make her feel bad, but they are like 10 dresses that I love on arround 250 and she says she is not willing to pay all that.... PLEASE help me....

There are many styles of bm dresses to choose from priced at less than 100.00. You just need to know where to look! Pricey dresses aren`t necessarily nicer.
If you have plenty of time before your wedding, and are interested in ordering at a discount, I can help you. If not, check with your local department stores. While you won`t get the service offered with a bridal salon, you can get great prices and versatility.
I do about 4 weddings a month, and the average cost of the bm dresses is $70-150.00. This is mostly because paying outrageous prices for gowns is only necessary if you want to pay that.

Personally, I think that $300 is too much to ask for your bridesmaids to pay for their dresses. Although, I personally believe the cost of the BM`s dresses falls to the bride (it`s our wedding day after all). I would suggest if you want to pay $300 for dresses, then you pay for the one`s you want. Also, you could consider having your maids in different dresses of the same colour, then they can all wear something they feel comforable in. Remember, they are there to do you a favor, not the other way around, just make sure that you don`t take advantage.

$200-$300 for a bm dress! That is a bit outrageous. I have been planning my wedding for the last year and have not had much difficulty finding dresses that are both elegant and stylish for my bm`s for under $100. If you just have to have the more expensive ones, than maybe you should pay the extra that your bm can`t pay. After all, this is your day and they are doing this as a favor for you. They should not be asked to extend their budget for you or anyone else. Besides, a wedding is not about the fashion it is about the love of two people.

I didn`t asked them to spend more or less that 100 200 or 300.... But I tried to look everywhere with them, and like today we went to Brides Mart, and the dresses like in 99, they all said they looked ugly, and that who was going to were that again, then, we went to windsor store, and again I liked some arroud 100 and they liked a few but not the colors, I like one BCBG that is 220, that they love, and then thay say that the can were it again, but 220 is too much, so I found something like that at Nordstrom in a little less than 100 and they said that the fabric looked really bad, nothing compare with the BCBG.... You see what I`m talking about.... Is not that I want ultra pret a porte BM dresses, but I belive that I`m being open, open to have happy BM`s and also make my self happy too.... And even I know this is not about fashion, we (my fiance and I ) love each other so much, that I have time to spend on fashion.... Honestly for me is not vital, but is important, but not to go that far, and not be able to find a dress.... Then.... I belive they want a CH gown at walt mart price... That is not possible.... Please keep sending me advices.... Renata

As a former bridesmaid (8 times) and future bride (May `05) even with the best intentions most BM desses are never worn again. With that said, $300 is too much. Anything around $150 is ideal and very possible. For my BM`s we are trying David`s Bridal, the brand Alfred Angelo which is carried at many Bridal Salons and Ann Taylor (I know 2 people who got their BM dresses there for under $100!!!). Good luck!

My BM`s bought the alfred angelo line that you can mix & match the tops & skirts. They paid $200 canadian. I have looked on the US website for Alfred Angelo and the same dress shows there for about $110 us funds. They are beautiful and all the girls selected their own top (same skirt for all 3), but this way the get something that they are comfortable in. Check it out because a tonne of bridal stores carries that line.

I am sorry, but you need to stay within their $100 budget for the dresses. Unless you want to buy them yourself.
