Mother/Daugher Idea For Reception
Does anyone have any ideas for something special my mom and I could do together at my wedding reception? I will have "dad" time during the father/daughter dance, but what about my mom? She has a special place in my life too, and I`d like to recognize her as well.

My mom and I are going to dance together to a song that we used to dance to when I was little. Non-traditional, yes....but very meaningful for us. She deserves to stand out at my reception.... What better way than a song dedicated to her?

How about raising a toast to your mom and telling her how much she means to you? Or you could give her her gift at the reception as a public display of your appreciation.

We are going to be dedicating a toast to our moms. Plus, we are also going to surprise both sets of our parents by having them do their "first dance" to the songs they had their first dance to at their weddings 32 years ago (our parents both got married the same year).

Instead of tossing my bouquet at the reception, I will be taking a special moment to say a few words about how special my mother is to me and present her with my bouquet.

I walked down the aisle with both of my parents. It was a wonderful way to include my mom.
