Attire For Mother Of The Bride

A standard to go with for most people is: MOB`s should not wear the same color as the BM`s -- they should choose a color that coordinates with the color scheme. Also, they shouldn`t wear the color that the bride wears, or red. Most other colors work fine.

But heck, if bride`s want their mothers in a certain dress color that maybe is bright red or the color of the BM`s...no one is stopping you. My above post is simply what a norm is for weddings.

I`m having my mom, my fiance`s mom and my bridesmaids all in black. It was the easiest color to find inexpensive dresses in. The post above is great if you want to follow tradition. But then again, it`s your wedding- do whatever you want! No one`s going to sit at your ceremony and say, "Oh no. The mother of the groom is in pink and so are the bridesmaids. How tacky." We worry so much about all the little details that we sometimes forget we`re probably the only ones who will notice them!
