Ideas For Garden Themed Wedding Reception

I am on a low budget for our wedding I have bought most things needed so far, except for the accessories. I would like some ideas for CHEAP decorations to go with a garden theme and also some places to get nice but CHEAP accessories. I am in the NM area in a small town. Internet options would be awsome

I know it gets sickening to keep hearing this but: yard sales.
Some ideas to look for are,
Flower pots with (make this part yourself) flowers that (real-more gardening type or fake-more sanitary) match your flower theme or colors, or whatever you want as table decorations.

Metal cans, buckets or watering cans with flowers inside (do this part yourself) or bottles of champagne inside or have balloons coming out of them. You can have the helium kind with the ribbon tied down to somehting inside of the can so no one can see it.

Another idea is completely one of those- if your into that sort of thing-kind. Have little gold fish in bowls. Or...use the bowls to put floating candles in them.
Wal Mart in the craft area has adorable little fish bowl shaped glass bowls for 77 cents each and may go on sale from Valentine`s Day, you could just add thsoe in with the flower pots randmely setting them on tables or alternating them. Also, if you have a Dollar Tree and sometimes Buck Stop where everything is a dollar thare are decorative candle holders such as bowls on rott iron stands. They also have floating flower candles-I think there are 6 in a package for 1.00 and I got them at the Dollar Tree.
Flowers are always good for a gardening theme such as pottery and plants.
If you like.

We had a garden themed shower for my daughter and her fiance and it was beautiful. Several weeks before the event, we planted grass seed in 9-inch wide flower pots. We kept it trimmed and tied white tulle and raffia around the pots. We used watering cans and filled them with daffodils and other greenery (they were in bloom at the time). We also used clear ivy bowls (from Walmart) and filled them with candles and floating blossoms. Real ivy was cut and placed on the gift table and a table reserved for photos of the couple. We scattered daffodils throughout. We also hung tulle from floor to ceiling and draped it in swags above the gift, food, and couple`s table. We used white isicle lights and large yellow bows on the tulle. We also added artificial yellow flowers in the tulle for extra color. On the food table we added more watering cans, flowers, and ivy (free from my mom`s yard). We elevated several of the dishes with galvanized buckets to add heigth and interest. With white table cloths and yellow napkins, it was really beautiful. My aunt also made small bee hives with little bees wired on because our computer made invitations read "Please Bee With Us". Hope this helps.

I TOO AM HAVING AN OUTDOOR WEDDING ON A TIGHT BUDGET. THIS IS WHAT HAS BEEN WORKING FOR ME.
STAY NATURAL . THE PURPOSE OF AN OUTDOOR OR GARDEN WEDDING IS YOUR IN NATURE.
ORDER AN IKEA CATALOG THEY HAVE TONS OF STUFF FROM PRETTY LANTERNS TO HANG EVERYWHERE TO THE CHEAPEST CANDLE HOLDERS FOR THE TABLE. HAVING IT OUTDOORS IS A WAY TO KEEP IT SIMPLE . YOU CAN RENT TREES OR GREENERY FOR OUTDOOR SHOPS. MY WEDDING IS IN AUGUST. SO FOR FAVORS I FOUND PRETTY HANDHELD FANS.(chinese trading company) TO EITHER KEEP PEOPLE COOL OR SWAT THE BUGS AWAY. HAVE A BACK UP PLAN IN CASE THE WEATHER DOES NOT COOPERATE. IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS FOR ME LET ME KNOW GOOD LUCK BE HAPPY ITS YOUR DAY!!
