Appetizer Only Reception
I posted yesterday to get ideas on an appetizer only reception. Our reception will start around 7:30. We will serve
Chicken fingers
Meatballs
Bread with artichoke/spinach dip
Fruit and
Veggie tray
The wedding party will arrive around 8 and we will immediately do the toast, cut the cake, and start dancing.
We will then place
Nachos/Salsa
Chips/Dip
Pretzels
On the tables for people to munch throughout the night.
Is this OK? Or do I need more?

I think it`ll be okay, as long as you (as someone already mentioned) note on the invitation what type of reception it is. You may or may not want to add a few more items depending on the number of guests you have.
I do have a suggestion though. Take it or leave it (because it`s really not all that important). I would take out the fruit that you listed with the hors d`oevres and subsititue something more appetizerish. Then after the cake cutting, I would eliminate the chips & dip and serve the fruit and a few more dessert options.

I would also consider having a meat and cheese tray as well to start. Other than that, I think it sounds pretty good. I agree with having some desserts for the second round. Perhaps you might want to buy or bake some bars of some sort.
Good luck!

Awesome! I love your idea! Everyone will be so relaxed and have fun because you as the bride sound like you plan to keep everything simple...Have a blast!
I wish I had thought of your idea! It`s too late for me to change, though...

What about petit fours? They are small pastry cakes that are decorated in your wedding colors.
Also, swedish meatballs make good appetizers.
What about a fruit carving?
