Banquet Chair Covers
Great idea - How to save on chair covers!
Let`s take advantage of this message board. If I were to purchase the chair covers and had commitments of a couple others that wanted to rent them from me, I could recoup my cost and then sell the chair covers on ebay.
My daughter is getting married next year, July 17, 2004.
I would like to have chair covers in white with white sashes. In searching the internet, the cheapest rental I`ve found is $3 plus S&H.
Looks like the cheapest price to buy them is about $8 each.
I`d like to rent/buy 250 to 300 chair covers.

Anyone who is interested in having me supply, setup and teardown chaircovers for your special event. I charge $3.00 per chair for white cover with white sparkling organza or ivory sparkling organza sash. The only extra charge would be if you lived 35 miles outside the Milford, MI area, or if you wanted colored sash.

There is problem with your idea. Each bride who uses the covers has to make sure they fit their chairs. You may have a 37 or 39 inch long chair cover but it is not a standard chair cover. Standard stacking chairs range from a 15 inch drop to a 19 inch drop. The price for the chair cover does not cover the sash. They range from $3.95 each when you make your own to a seamstress charging around $3.00 for material and then their labor. Oh and cleaning them you can not just throw them in a wash machine and hope that your water does not yellow them or get out all the stains. Call a cleaning service to price what it will cost you because you are not a regular customer. The first person to use them will not have any problem, the second stands a chance if the first has a professional cleaner clean them.
After an event to have them dry cleaned cost me as much as what I paid for them. Prices in my area ranged from $10.00-$15.00 each (call your cleaners and check out their prices) and home dry cleaning is just perfume and a little detergent stain remover in kit is fine for home but not stains from wine etc. Much of the reason my covers had to be cleaned is they came back after 7 days in the mail with mildew . Good Luck .
