My sister and her husband did this at their wedding. It was very beautiful and many people complemented them on it.

I would be interested in learning more about what this Rose Cermony is all about. Could someone please explain it to me?

Cheryl, I think the rose ceremony is when the B&G each give a long stemmed rose to each of their parents and thank them. If memory serves me correctly they do this before the ceremony starts, but after the bridal party is at the front of the church.
Am I wrong? Someone please correct me if I am...

Sorry Kay, You`re wrong. The Rose ceremony takes place after the bride and groom say their vows and exchange rings. They present each other with a long stemmed rose. This is their first gift to each other as husband and wife. The rose signifies timeless love.

There`s actually a rather detailed and informative article on the Rose Ceremony on USABride.com. It explains the significance of the exchange and also has a copy of the reading the accompanies it. My fiance and I are thinking of passing the roses along starting in the back of the room moving forward through the hands of all our guests until they reach us the altar - symbolic of how all the people in our lives have touched our hearts - before we exchange the roses.

There is actually a few different rose ceremonies one the bride and groom give each other the roses or the B&G give each mother a rose to tell them how much they mean to you or if there are children involved they each get a rose as well
