A padrino or madrina is usually a family member. You can ask them if they wanna be padrinos of something. You can have padrinos for any thing except the dress. If they are padrinos for the table decorations for example you could either go shopping with them for the table decorations and they pay for them or you buy them without your padrinos and give them the receipt and they would pay for it. Padrinos are basically if they wanna help you with your quinceanera financially by paying for something like the wine glasses for you and your court of honor or like the beverages or something.
