Centerpieces

My son is getting married in Oct. Of 2004. My future daughter in-law wants to have a fall theme. I think a wonderful centerpiece idea would be to decorate the reception tables with yankee candles(apple, cinnamon, pumpkin pie, or other fall scented candles.) I would suggest they be all the same so you don`t have conflicting scents. Then to scatter the tables with fall leaves. Just think of the wonderful aroma your reception hall would have as guest entered. Another idea for favors would be to have dried fruits such as apples, apricots, raisens, nuts it tulle bags for the guests to eat. It seems like all the weddings I have been to recently are all carbon copies. Any other unique ideas?

What about using cornicopias for the centerpieces? You could fill them with gorgeous fall colored flowers. Also, for favors you could do candied apples (I saw this once at a wedding...the bride took an apple and wrapped it in cellophane, then attached with a colored ribbon a small bag of carmels and a stick) they were really cute and everyone seemed to like them.

Has your daughter picked out the color for her BM`s dresses? Check out the color salmon -- it`s simply gorgeous for a fall wedding.

Good luck!

Great ideas there....very good theme....Just be careful with the scents though....alot of people get sick from scented candles...etc.....headaches and allergies...beware.

What about pumpkin, turnip and other types of gourds with special carvings in them.

My friend had a fall wedding and she used small pumpkins and other gourds sprayed gold as her centerpieces. She added a few fall leaves around them and it looked beautiful.
