Eloping Couple
How do we word an invitation to host a bridal shower for a couple who is eloping? Is it tacky to have a shower when no one will be invited to the wedding?

Typically people who are invited to attending a bridal shower are indeed invited to the wedding. However, since so many couples opt to elope, it is not rude or tacky to have a shower for them. It may be a good idea to spread the word that the couple is eloping, or having a destination wedding so that people understand that an invitation will more than likely not be extended.
It would be nice if when the B&G are back from their eloping that they have a reception/celebration where they include all their friends and family.
