50th Wedding Anniversary/Mass

We are planning my in-law`s 50th and would like to also include a brief catholic service with communion at the reception. My father-in-law can no longer attend Mass and we thought if we are taking him out for the day at the reception we could do both the party and Mass at the function hall. Has anyone ever done this before? Also what would we include on a program if we do that? Thanks for your help!
