Monetary Gifts On Invitations Or Recept.Card?

Being that we (Bride and Groom) are Christian Pastors and will be moving into a new home immediatey after the wedding, we prefer to decorate our home ourselves. We have not had time to look at stores to select items for the house. In additional, we prefer not to register for gifts anywhere. We really perfer monetary gifts rather than guest buying gifts for us. So we can decorate the house together over a period of time. Please help! What should we do. Wedding April 17th!

1) Do nothing... Dont put a note in you invite or anything. Most people will get the hint if you dont register!

2) Register at bed bath and beyond... Just go throuhg real quick and pick out a bunch of stuff, then return everything and you get a FULL refund. They have a 100 return policy, no reciept needed!

3) Have your Mom or MOH spread it around by word of mouth

Don`t post it. It`s kind of rude.i have a house filled with every thing we need,so i`m sending word through family ,only if people ask ,that we`d rather money.it`s sooo hard to do this but i know how you feel. Express it to your family to pass the word ,as long as your not demanding money.best wishes on your big day.

Never put gift requests on your invitation or reception cards. It`s in terribly poor taste.

Don`t register and most of your guests will most likely gift you with checks.
