Hey guys....I have decided to do my wedding in all different tones of pink....First off, I wanted to see if anyone has ever done this or seen it done...I do not know any specific colors...So if anyone has the names of colors that I could use or flowers that are pink that would look good...please let me know!!! Thank you!!!

I think many of us saw it done at the infamous wedding of Trista & Ryan - and it was nauseatingly disasterous.

Pink is lovely at weddings, but don`t overdo it. I would suggest that you pick at least one other color, along with a cream or ivory, to complement the pink.

I did not see Trista & Ryan`s wedding but I did see Steel Magnolias. Her wedding was done in pink. You don`t want your wedding to look like it was hosed down with Pepto Bismol. I like Linda`s idea of using champagne or ivory to tone down the pink. You could use pink and ivory roses for your flowers. That would be very pretty!!!!

Her colors in Steel Magnolias were not pink and pink! They were blush and bashful! haha I adore that movie. It is lovely to utilize different shades of one color, but be sure to temper it a bit with a neutral ivory or white. You don`t want the color scheme to overpower the other elements of the design.

Hi! I also chose a pink wedding because of the dresses I picked out. They were from Jim Hjelm and are a light pink/white plaid. More informal than the traditional bridesmaid dresses-but that was my goal: to find a dress that can easily be worn again. Anyway, I planned to use white or silver as accent colors. I was planning (I saw was because we recently pushed our date back, got the deposits, and I`m starting over again :( ) on having the napkins be pink on the tables, but everything else white so it was not too much pink. As far as flowers, I was going to use tulips...they come in many shades of pink. My florist was going to wire them for me so they wouldn`t wilt. I just love the flexibility of the tulips....I planned on potting some to use as decorations as well. I chose them also because they are not very expensive, so I would have saved money using them.

Those were the main decorations I would have. I planned to use candles instead of flowers because it is a lot cheaper. I would have went with white candles and maybe a few pink so that it was not too much pink!

Good luck planning!

I saw Trista and Ryan`s wedding. Her bridesmaids wore different shades of pink.
You could do all pinks from a pale blush to a dark hot pink. Just avoid the pepto bismol shades.

My wedding is in two shades of pink. The maids & flowergirls will be wearing a very pale pink dress. The flowers and other items like the ailse are in a brilliant raspberry color. I think the trick is to incorporate lots of white (or ivory) into the mix where ever you can. Also I highly recomend the use of dark green leave in your flower arangements to add contrast.

I saw a wedding where the bride had a white gown, with pink and green accents. It was very pretty.

A little pink goes a long way. Try mixing it with another color (not just white, silver, or cream) like sage, tangerine, or brown (I know pink and brown sounds weird but I`ve seen it done and it was beautiful). Good luck!
