50th Wedding Anniversary...HELP!!!

I`m planning a 50th Wedding Anniversary Party for my parents, in Sept. 2004. I have reserved their Church Hall and I am trying to contact family and friends that are out of state. I think an Italian food buffet will be the Dinner. I`m not sure about alcoholic beverages and music. I would really like to have a photographer. My brother and sisters and I are planning a Criuise to Alaska for their present (if we can afford it). Any ideas for decorations or party favors. Need advice on how to keep this a secret and dealing with out of state guests.

Hi,

When there are out of town guest you want to come, it is important to send out a SAVE THE DATE card or flier months ahead of time. This enables them to make good flight reservations because they have enough time to shop for the best prices. Make SURE that if this is to be a surprise you state that on this reminder.
