Losing Weight

Anyone interested in forming a web group of brides-to-be for those wanting to take off a few pounds before the wedding? I don`t believe in magic pills and powder mixes. I do believe in strength in numbers! I`ll look into starting up a chat group for support if anyone is interested!

I`m in. My email is fspro@uaf.edu I bought my dress and it won`t zip! I don`t care about losing weight as n pounds but what i do care about is losing weight in inches I need to lose about 3 inches. So i can zip that dress up.

Let me know! I have 15 pounds to lose by July. It doesn`t sound like a lot, but it has been so difficult to get motivated!!!

Me too! Me too!
I`m lucky, I have about 2 years to lose the weight, but I have about 50 pounds to lose. I`m having trouble losing weight since I was hit by a car 2 years ago. Need some emotional support to stick in there through the pain. I know it will be worth it.

I would like to join too. My wedding is on March 20th. I would like to lose 15 pounds by then. It is so hard because my fiance is a great cook. I need some encouragement and help with this. What day have you picked to weigh on? I know that will give me a goal to work for.

Cherie and Kathleen, congratulations first of all! Second of all, I commend your efforts! Jamie and I have been e.mailing back and forth, and together, with my doctor`s advice, we`ve come up with a plan that works really really well and I`ve already lost 3 pounds (In two days).
First, cut your caloric intake to about 1500 and cut out sugars. (Sugars in the form of carbs, too. But let`s not do the Atkins diet thing because it`s "WAY TOO DANGEROUS TO EAT ALL THAT FAT!" -Dr. Carolyn Kase along with Paul Harvey`s sources from WMPR)
Next, drink water when you feel like you want to eat but are not hungry.
Take a brisk walk 20 minutes a day.
When you have lost your desired amount, then you can bring your caloric intake up to 1800 as long as you add anoth 5-10 minutes to your brisk walk.
Drinking water will keep your body hydrated. Eating a "WHOLESOME" 1500 calories every day will give you your nutrients. Taking vitamins will also help your body deal with it`s new healthy lifestyle. (Women`s One Daily, One-ADay, and anyother brand that gives you extra vitamins you might need. Did I mention drink a lot of water? haha..
It helps clean out your toxins and get rid of extra foods quicker... And healthier than very scary alternatives. Hope this helps!

Congrats Shelly! That is awesome! Unfortunately, I have not started yet....I plan to get through this weekend and then start (once I have finished all of the Pepsi`s in the fridge! ha). I am at least working out, so on Monday when I throw away all of the candy I have stored in the house, I hope to get started and stick to it! That is really exciting....I can`t wait!
