I am also having a gebera daisy wedding. They are so pretty.
Im not sure what colors she is having but my colors are light purple and silver.
My ideas for the flowers are to have each bridemaid carry a bouquet of a different color gerbera daisy, and then I am going to carry a bouquet of all the different colors they are carrying. It will be pretty plus it makes for a very colorful wedding.

I am also having a Gerbera Themed wedding. July 10, 2004. I think I have got my colors pegged. It is going to be an outdoor wedding and the colors I have chosen are Peach & Light Pink Gerbera with a few splashes of Fushia Gerberas here and there. I was a little worried at first but they all seem go really well together! And today I found the most beautiful White Gerberas with an almost Fushia center. I think I may use them in my own Bridal Bouquet. The bridesmaid bouquets will have some white in them so hopefully this doesn`t look to out of place amongst all of the color! I would be very interested in hearing any ceremony or reception decorations that include Gerberas.... That seems to be where I am a little stuck! Any help would be appreciated!!!

If you use Gerber Daisies in your wedding, be aware that they must be wired and the petals wilt very quickly under direct sunlight or with a lack of water. I worked for a florist for over a year delivering flowers. This happens to all Gerbers. Fresh gerbers are much prettier than silk ones--I`ve yet to find great-looking silk ones. Also note that there is a mini-Gerber variety that is a verry pretty. It is the same sized center as the larger flower but with shorter pettals.

My wedding is at the end of May and I picked my bridesmaid dress colors based on the colors of gerbera daisies! I have three and each will wear a different shade of red. I want to have red gerberas as the main flower with shots of bright pink and yellow here and there. My bouquet will be a larger version of my bridesmaids with a few white gerberas thrown in. BUT I can`t find a picture ANYWHERE that comes close to even resembling what I`d like. Just a pic of any gerbera daisy, hand-tied, bouquet would be nice. I am planning on a gerbera daisy theme for my wedding using the bold colors of mostly red and orange, with a few bright pink and yellow gerberas. I`m having red gerber centerpieces also. Here`s what I am doing..unfortunately I dont have a pic. I actually got a deep red vase, which match the "apple" dresses, and I`m using 6 red carnations with 4 red gerbers. The carnations are used to fill the bottom with the gerbs around the side and 1 on top. Looks really good. Just not sure what to do with the bouquets..

I`m getting married in three weeks. While my bouquet will be mixed with two different kinds of roses, tulips and gerbera daisies (all red). I`m sticking with just red gerbera daisies for the girls (who will be in all black thanks to the groom picking royal steward tartan for mens kilts). My florist helped me out with an idea to incorporate the daisy into my center pieces which I wanted to do on my own due to budget reasons. I bought vases from ikea (2.99 each), clear acrylic ice chips which will sit at the bottom of the vase and then I`ll float a red gerbera daisy blossom on top. Around the vase will be red rose petals and three tea lights. We put it all together and it was simple but absoloutely beautiful. I can show pictures in a few weeks! P.S. Another idea that my decorator is using is that shes using a muted gold organza overlay for the head table, cake table and recieving table but every so often inside the organza she`ll put a rose or red gerbera daisy blossom.

I recently got engaged to my boyfriend of five years and we are working on planning our wedding. The only problem is that I am having trouble finding pictures of gerbera daisy bouquets. Since I was little I have always wanted to use the light, medium, and almost fuscia pink gerbera daisies in my maid of honor and bridesmaids bouquets. I would also love to use the fuscia pink gerberas with white roses and a small accent flower in my bouquet, but I am having trouble finding pictures to show my florist. I also am interested in using gerbera daisies in my bouquet and for the bridesmaids. I am getting married next June, so I am looking at summer colors. The bridesmaid dresses are cornflower blue, so I`d like bouquets in dark blue/purple, dark pink, and yellow. I would love to see pictures if anyone has them! Also, what flowers would look good in my bouquet? My dress is formal, so I think I need to use more formal flowers.

There are a lot of different way to use gerbera daisies in bouquets and as centerpieces. There is a nice picture of a bouquet on www.theknot.com. Look under florists in North Carolina...Party Blooms has a gerbera and rose bouquet. My florist has told me that using roses in the bouquet helps the gerbera petals stay up longer...gerberas need lots of water and have a tendancy to droop if left without water for a while.
As far as table arrangments go, you can mix up the colors on each table in a large vase or stick to one color per table and give it a more dramatic effect. I also like the look of bud vases with gerberas. If you take one gerbera per bud vase and arrange the vases in the center of the table around some pillar candles you get a really nice and simple centerpiece...again you can mix up the colors or keep them all the same at each table. There are some great bud vases at www.crateandbarrel.com... You can get 6 vases for $8.95.

I recently got married in September, but I did not use gerbera daisies. My friend, however, is getting married in Sept. And wants of mix of gerbea (red, orange & yellow). I found lots of great pictures. Just go to www.google.ca and type in "gerbera daisies" then click on the `images` button above (then click search). By default, typing that in and just going to search just searches the web, not specifically for images. Anyway I saved a bunch of the pictures if you can`t find them. Just let me know if you want them.

Good luck with your wedding. Enjoy the special day. Word of advice...try to take it easy so you can take it all in. It was such a blur I barely remember it except for the pictures!

I`m in love with the Gerbera Daisies Wedding Theme. I woud love and really appreciate to see any pictures that you might have. I`m having an outdoor wedding and I need ideas on decorations, favors, centerpeices basically everything you have to offer. I`m struggling with what color the bridesmaids dresses should be. The hot new color out is called Pool its basically turquoise its beautiful but I really like the bright Gerbera colors. Do you think they would go together? My bridesmaids really like the pool color but I`m not sure if it goes with a grassy area, to me its more of a beach wedding color?
