Step Mother To The Bride

As the step mother of the bride, do I sit in as her mother/ We get along fine, but her mother will be deceased one year to the date that she is getting married and I want it to be special for her. The father and I were not included in the first wedding and this is the second marriage in 5 or 6 years.
