Bridesmaids Options
I would like each of my girls to wear the dress of her choice. I even thought that I would just find two makers with matching colors and let them each pick what they want. I understand that the shades might be a little off, but I don`t find this to be a big deal. What do you think? Would this look bad in pictures? I am choosing a Champagne color dress and I love the IMPRESSION line. I am also looking for another comparable designer. Any ideas.
PS.... Thank you all so much for your help, it`s much easier to come here than to listen to the diverse opinions of friends and family. Shhh... Don`t tell them I said that :-)

At my wedding, I had three attendants. One was tall (just over 6 ft.) One was very petite, and one begged me to choose something that wouldn`t show her hips. I ended up choosing the color of dress and letting each of them go to the salon and try on/choose the dress that they felt most comfortable in. Since a good number of designers offer their entire line in a variety of colors, this is very easy to do. You just may need time to order the gowns. The gowns all matched perfectly, and each girl was at her best...relaxed and happy. It worked for me! My wedding was 10 years ago, and the only thing we regret when looking back at the photos is the big hair!!! haha

Another option is doing the two piece dress thing. I know DB and I think after six carries a great variety allowing the color to stay the same!

I choose to do all different tops for my bridesmaids. I am having four, I choose the color also and they picked out the top. They are eden bridal, they all somewhat match but all different. I can`t wait to see them all together. I think this way is a good way becuase all my bridesmaids were all different sizes so now they will all feel comfortable at my wedding. They are buying the dresses, I don`t want them to buy a dress they won`t like.

I was looking at Eden Bridals, too. Does the fabric matter if each girl is picking out her own style dress? Should the fabric be the same?
