Wishing Well
I was wondering how many Couples were using Wishing Wells for their Weddings? I`m caught in between using a Wishing Well or a Church for Our Gift Table My Father InLaw would be builing this item for us
But I would like some Opinions.
Thanks to everyone who has decent input.

We had a total fall theme . I`ve seen birdcages for rent, and a mailbox also rented. Everything was white and I wanted NO white as my dress was Ivory and then we went with all the reds, golds, oranges, etc. So I found a large fabric covered(in Ivory) hat box at a craft store. We cut a slot in the top and covered it with gold cording.I then hot glued the top on.
Now I also want to say, no where on our invitations did we mention that there would be anything like that, we had it for people who chose to bring us cards. I am totally against asking for money etc. We went with the thought that here in the Chicago area 95% of the guests will give you cards with checks without begging, and wanted somewhere to keep them....Good Luck

Hi,
I am using a wishing well for my wedding. Everyone i have told has been extremely releived as they firstly do not have to decide on a gift that i would not only like but acturally want considering that myself and my partner have been living together for over a year. Secondly, people are extremely buzy and appreciate not having to spend hours shopping for a gift. Thirdly i have been to many wedding over the last few years and i love putting money in a wishing well, because it is easy, affordable and i am not wasting money on a gift that will sit in a draw. I have just put a poem in my invites.

I am going to buy a new mail box. Paint it white and decorate it with tulle. I will then put it on the gift table . Once the wedding is over I will use it as my mailbox at my home.
