Looking For Hand Held Streamers

I have researched sites for wedding streamers also. I have located favorsyoukeep.com,
4weddingconfetti.com, and a classytouchwedding.com, which all have hand held streamers. However, I feel the cost is too expensive - at least $2.00 a piece. Any one find a better price.

I made hand held streamers for my upcoming wedding. Ironically, I made them prior to Trista and Ryans wedding (I never even watched it - I heard the fuss about them afterwards). Mine cost about 22 cents each to make, and they are so simple! I made 100 and it took me about 3 hours (not bad for a craft time). First, I went to the hardware store and into the wood section where I bought 1/4 inch dowel rods for 65 cents each. I had them cut them into 1 foot long sections (I got 4 out of each rod). Then I purchased my ribbon on sale at Walmart. I cut those into foot long section. Then, using my hot glue gun, I put a dap of glue on one end of the rod and wrapped the ribbon around it once. Then I dovetailed the free end of the ribbon. Done! It was so simple and they look great. I always figured that if I could do it myself for a fraction of the cost, I wasn`t about to pay someone else to do it. Hope this helps! (oh, and you don`t have to be "crafty" to do this either, it`s really easy)

Sarah, I didn`t see Ryan and Trista wedding so I`m not sure when the guests used these? Did you give them at the start of the ceremony or at the reception? Do people just wave them? I`m curious about this. Sounds like it might be a fun thing to have.
