Interesting, but the story is not consistant.

She was fishing for gifts from the get go!

I am sure her friends would like to see this...

I just don`t know what to say. This is so funny - it looks like a joke. Sadly, I don`t think that it is. She sounds like the most self-absorbant snob. She talks about this extravaggant lifestyle and how she has no money. It doesn`t add up!!

Me and my parents saved for my wedding and I still don`t expect to spend half of what she does (26,000+). And - my parents make six digets and I don`t do to bad myself. There are better things to waste money on! I think she needs to head to Vegas.

OH my GOD is right! How tacky. Who do she thinks she is anyways? Seriously, she does sound like a spoiled little brat. I would never think of asking my guests for money to pay for the wedding let alone complete strangers. She wants to spend like 20 000 on a wedding she can`t afford (let alone being a second marriage - not that there`s anything wrong with that, but she already had the wedding). I go to school and work, my fiancee helps me, but we have credit card debt, let alone trying to budget for a wedding. We work for it ourselves and scale down things. She should do the same thing too. Like i said, oh my god. How tacky.

Does she really think people would send her money after reading that story and seeing her budget. My budget is about as much as her rings were alone. She is nuts.
If she really worked for things she got in life, as she said she grew up having to work for everything she wanted, she would not have made her own website asking strangers for money. How much sader can you get.

I read her "weight loss" part, and she gaines 4/10th of a pound that she apparently lost while running down 22 flights of stairs in her "building" during a fire drill. I thought she owned this BEAUTIFUL home (not to mention buying another one). Or did I read it wrong? I was laughing so hard.

She has not replied yet. I hope she does, I want to hear what she has to say.

That is SO ridiculous!!! Do only what YOU can afford!!! I just came to that realization, this past week. We all want our "dream wedding" but if you can`t afford it, then you just can`t!! Me and my fiance are both working a second job and we are still gonna have to cut back on a lot of our "dream" things! I honestly can`t believe this lady!! Her quote for today is "If you don`t have anything nice to say then don`t say anything at all". She`s crazy! That website is probably costed her more to create then she is gonna get in donations!

There was a post on this on another wedding message board I go to, I can not believe she thought this would be a good idea! If she really was strapped for money she would have gotten rid of those 600 dollar centerpieces!

Did any of you hear about the girl with credit card debt- she set up a website for people to send her money, AND THEY DID. By the tone of this girls site, all comments above are right- snobby, self centered, and shallow!! There`s no sympathy from me.

I can`t believe that I finally got to read this message that you were all talking about. I can`t believe the nerve of some people. I told my daughter, whose is getting married in April, and she didn`t even want to look at it. Some people need to learn to live within their means. My husband was forced into early retirement 2 years ago, so we are leaving on half of what he was making. My daughter is getting married in April, as I said. She is having a very nice wedding because I learned to be smart and crafty. I purchased most of my materials for wedding boquets, centerpieces, favors, etc. At half price by looking out for sales. I am crafty by nature and am making much of what we need. Since we don`t have a lot of money, like most people in America, you learn to shop wisely. I think that Miss Pay For My Wedding needs to do the same. You can have a very nice affair, reasonably. Who needs to rent beach house and send their attendants to the spa and deep sea diving when they`re $18,000 in debt. I guess ones who them the rest of us should pay for it! Well, guess what, not me!!!!

What a snob! I bet no one gives her money. I wish I know. But you cannot even get ahold of her. When is the date anyway? I didnt see it there. I bet she is already married.

Ammie- no, we`re not all like that in California. There are maladjusted people everywhere, people who believe they are `entitled` to something good when they`ve done nothing for it. We`re scraping together what we can and accepting the generous help from my parents, and we`re going to have a special day no matter how simple or small.

I hope her friends find out about this. That`d be a hoot.

I love that there are still things that we can all agree about on this message board... =)
