Need Ideas For Inexpensive Wedding

Hello to everyone out there. I`m getting married on Sept. 27th of this year. Unfourtunatley, we don`t have a bundle of money to spend on a wedding, so I am looking for any ideas that you may have to share.

Thanks,
Misty

Hi! There are a few major factors in keeping down the price of your wedding. 1st of all, you`ll want to keep the wedding list down to as few close family/friends as possible. Secondly, you can have your wedding in a friend`s backyard assuming you know somebody with a relatively large backyard area. You should try to keep the wedding local to yourself so that travelling expenses are minimized. Lastly, you can hire an affordable videographer and skip out on a photographer all together. Although, if you go this route, you`ll want to make sure you have cameras avail. For your guests to use during the wedding and reception. Hope that helps! Aaron

There are several ways you can cut costs. Use silk flowers instead of real ones. The good thing about that is you can keep your bouquet forever and it will keep it`s beauty. Plus, silk flowers won`t turn brown!!! Cut your guest list.

Just invite close friends and family members.

Have a close friend or family member video tape and photograph the wedding. Remember, a professional can mess up just as much as anyone else can. Just becasue they are a professional doesn`t mean they are perfect all the time. I had a friend take the pictures at my wedding and she did a fantastic job. The pictures were wonderful and I got all of the negatives so I could have copies made later of my favorite pictures. If you go through a photographer you won`t ge the negatives and they will charge you an arm and a leg for prints.

You could have the ceremony and reception at the same location to cut extra fees and deposits. Plus, this is easier on your guests. They don`t have to worry about driving around and getting lost.

Shop clearance racks for bridesmaids dresses. I found simple dresses at JCPenney`s and they were $20.00 each. Boy were my bridesmaids happy with that. Also, instead of having them buy a new pair of shoes, let them wear a pair they already own. Atleast their feet won`t hurt if they are shoes they have already broken in.

Borrow as many items as you can: decorations, tiara, etc. This will really help to save $$$
