Maggie Sottero Gowns Bought On Line?

New to the conversation... I am also looking into ordering my gown from Tamara`s online. I have sent a few emails back and forth with the owner, Jackie, but I am still nervous about the whole thing.

I am wanting a Maggie Sottero gown that retails for over $1100 at my local (Kansas City) bridal store. Tamara`s says they can get the same gown, brand new, for $782. They ARE listed on the Maggie Sottero web site as an authorized dealer.

Is this too risky? I would be very interested to know if anyone has been to this shop in person, or has ordered online from them. What kind of experience did you have?

I also was wanting a Maggie Soterro and have seen the dress I want listed on several websites.

However, I`m nervous about ordering online as Maggie Sottero`s own website warns people from buying her dresses online as she does not sell online and the ones you get from other sites can be knockoffs.

Has anyone ordered one of her dresses from a site that was reputable and sold her actual dresses?

I am beginning to lean towards buying the Maggie Sottero Davina (If I decide that`s the one I really want) . I have done quite a bit of research on message boards and the better business beaurau, and they look pretty good. I am now waiting to hear back from the Maggie Sottero professionals (I emailed "Dear Maggie" on their web site) about whether or not they recommend doing such a thing. Tamara`s is a real bridal shop in LA and is also an authorized dealer listed on Maggie Sottero`s web site. But like you said, they discourage from buying online. "Dear Maggie" should respond in about 5 - 7 business days, so I`ll be sure to let you know that they say!

I do understand all of your concerns, but Maggie doesn`t want you to buy online from a stranger -that is a non -reatil operation, like someone with just a web address and not listed as a real store by Maggie Sottero`s website.

If the store`s name is listed on the Maggie Sottero website, it means they actually not only have a real bridal salon but a real acocunt and are buying authentic gowns from the manufacturer. If your gown is real, it will come with all the labels attached and Maggie Sottero gives a certificate of authenticity with each of their gowns to prevent fraud.

So far I am having an AWESOME experience They have answered my e-mails really really fast and have answered all of my questions (I`ve had alot of questions!!). They also have a great price but told me if I find a lower price than the one they gave me, I should e-mail it to them and they will beat it! I`m still checking, but so far they seem to be "the one" to go with.

I bought my Maggie Gown online from Special Occasions in CT. They were listed as a Maggie seller and after a few emails and a telephone call they help me with a Maggie "Dion" and save me money and time! Check this store out too!!

I`ve been e-mailing with Tamara`s Bridal (www.tamarasbridal.com) and the owner has responded so fast I can`t believe it. The price was the best of any of the online services and their response time was the fastest and the most helpful

I almost bought my gown from House of Brides but they were rude. They seemed to be bothered by my questions. I did talk to Tamara`s and they were nice but Special Occasions really help me with my gown and they gave me the best price and service. Not only did they save me money on my gown but I got the my flower girls dress at a great price and my gown preservation at a great price too for after the wedding! They were great! I am glad I found them!

What is Special Occassions url? I haven`t seen them yet.

Hi, I`ve recently ordered my dress from Tamaras bridal. I found them to be very helpful. I have also ordered my bridesmaid dress from there too. Their prices are fantastic, especially compared to the UK stores. I was really worried and did my homework first. Tamaras is listed as authorised dealer on Maggie S website and Mori Lee etc, I feel quite at ease as I wait for my dresses to arrive. Once they have arrived I will post an update on here. The other webites I looked at weren`t authorised dealers so I would definately choose to not go with them.

I just want to say thanks to Sara and Tina. I just found the Maggie dress that i want and can`t afford it from the store, but I am worried about buying online. So far I have only found it at TJ Formal. But thanks to you two I am gonna go check out the places you went. Thanks for all the info. I like everyone else wants a Maggie Sottero but can`t afford one. I still am looking for the best price and I am positive that I will be ordering it from the Internet. For the dress I dream of ( Munroe) I have found that Pearls Place and Weddingexpressions had the best price and have been helpful in answering my email questions. But I am interested in the Tamara shop. I just checked them out and they are offering to price match any other internet retailer. I say what have i got to lose. So if anyone else knows of where to find a great price for the Munroe, do pass it on.......

Pearls Place has been great. They had a very similar price - and they also carry Jasmine B2 bridesmaids which the other didn`t, so I am going through them. So far, so good. I ordered Tuesday, and already have my receipt for the half I paid for now (I can pay the rest later). I will let all of you know how it turns out!

About the Best-buy-bridal, is it true???? How was there service? I looked up the Maggie dress I wanted and they have it for a price that is most amazing. I wouldn`t feel guilty then. ( I have serious buyers remorse) So what I am really trying to say is, is it to good to be TRUE?????
