Reserving Hotel Rooms For Guests

Can anyone tell me how many hotel rooms I should reserve for my guests? I`m having approximately 200 to 250 guests, and I`m not sure how many rooms I should reserve.

Depending on the hotel. If the are going to penalize you if you go under your room block, then make sure you block 1/4 of the rooms.you can always add to your block. The Sales Manager at the hotel will tell you once you`ve exceeded your room block.
Then you can increase your room block, if the hotel wont allow you to do that, go to the next property near by.

Im a catering sales manager for a hotel and i do this for a living. So.. Just an fyi.

Doesn`t matter how many people you invite to the wedding. The out of town guests are who you need to concentrate on. Count up your out of town guests only (as couples and singles). But I would definitely block more than 1/4. I would block 75%-80%.
