Rum Pink Colored Tulle Needed To Make Veil
I am getting married in Virginia Beach, VA in October of 2004. My wedding dress is mostly rum pink in color with a portion that is ivory. I have decided that I want a veil to match the rum pink color not the ivory; however, I am way too cheap to spend over a hundred dollars on a veil to match. I have the talent to make my own veil, but my problem is trying to locate the rum pink colored tulle. I have been to all of my local fabric stores with no luck. Does anybody know where I can get rum pink colored tulle in 108" width? I need at least 4 yards. Thanks for reading this!!

I don`t know why they call the color rum pink ... It isn`t pink at all. It is actually more of a champagne color. It`s a couple shades darker than ivory. We are getting married on the beach and I picked this dress because the rum pink color reminded me of the color of the sand. If anyone knows where I can find tulle this color please let me know!!

You can probably find it on ebay...There are lots of wedding related wedding stores like efavormart -- i ordered some tulle from there. I would alsolook at local fabric stores -- it may be special order.
Good luck!

Go to TuTu.com they have many different colors of tulle to pick from. I am also looking for the Champagne colored Tulle and they have it. Hope this helps.

Get some white tulle and experiment with dyeing it. You can buy a yard of tulle for a dollar and then cut it up and try different dyes. Maybe first try a pink and then soak it in tea to tone the color down. Then wash it to see what color you end up with.

I tried on a rum pink veil at David`s Bridal - it was beautiful! I love this color. Unfortunately, I couldn`t buy the veil because my gown is ivory, and it won`t match.

It never occured to me to try to dye the fabric. I will definitely try that! I wanted the rum pink veil at David`s Bridal, but I refuse to pay their outrageous price. So my search continues and I am actually to the point where I am having nightmares over this veil! Thank you so much for all of the wonderful ideas. Should anyone come up with anything new please let me know!
