Could Someone Please Give Me Some Feedback?

Hey everyone, you guys are helpful so I thought maybe if I threw some ideas out there you could help me too!
Okay well I decided I want my colors to be black, silver, and white, and then since all my chambelanes will be wearing black tuxes with maybe silver ties then I thought it would pretty to have my damas wear black gowns with an accent of silver and/or white or it so that during our waltz I`ll be like the one in white(I want a traditional white dress) and everyone else will be in black. Any comments? What do you guys think?
Also, my parents are divorced and I live with my stepdad even though I still see my dad I was thinking dance with daddy first, then stepdaddy...is that okay?
Oh and lastly, what about when my dad is supposed t change my shoes? Any ideas on how I could do it without either of them being offended or hurt? OR possibly is there some other special moment I could have the other one do?
