Our Valentine Wedding 2004.....

Hello there everyone...we are getting married on Valentines Day 2004, and not only is it our wedding day, it marks the anniversary of our first date, 10 years ago, and wondering if anyone has any more Ideas for our reception, as far as entertainment and decorations go?????

We are having a private ceremony, with only family, about 30 people. Then after we are having a big reception of about 150 people. My colors are red and white. And HEARTS< HEARTS>HEARTS>. We will be walking through a lighted heart archway, There will be cupids and hearts hanging from the ceiling, and I have what I called "kiss quotes" (hearts with kissing quotes from famous poets) on the walls.

On the tables, our centrepieces are martini glasses filled with gel and a heart candle, and in the gel I am putting confetti (Hearts, and "just married, in gold)I also found some mini glass heart to put in the gel, and when you light it up it is incredible. I am putting a round mirror underneath all of them.

The party favors are mini martini glasses with of course, cinnamon hearts, lol,

On the tables, i made little valentine cards with love sayings on them, for the guests to write song requests to the dj. And of course, red pens on each table.

The place that we have booked, does not allow, confetti in the hall, so since i am cheap and using plastic table coverings, I found some little heart stickers, with valentine sayings on them to stick to the coverings.

My fiance and I were blessed with twins, a boy and a girl, and they are six, and they are going to, of course be our ringbearer and flowergirl.

I think I have everything organized, but the only thing I am really having trouble with is that i don`t want the entertainment at the reception to be boring. Both my fiance and I want to keep the speeches to a minimum, but we also want to incorporate some humor into our reception, because humor is big in our lives. We have a great person picked out for our emcee, but wondering if anyone had any ideas for envolving our guests in the speech time? For toasts we have 4 people getting up, and our twins are saying a valentine peom for us......HELP ME?????
