Stay away from any Discount Bridal Service dealers!! I was scammed this past year!! This so call discount bridal service dealer or DBS took our money for my gown and my girls gowns and the gowns never came in!! The worst pasrt is we found out after that these DBS dealers are not authotized sellers of the gowns.
So in short, I had to sue to get the money back, which we did but we had to get different dresses. Don`t do it. YOu won`t save any money.

I am surprised to see a complaint here about Discount Bridal Service, Inc. I have been a dealer with them for five years, and the company is totally wonderful to deal with. They have NEVER not delivered on time or early to any of my brides. I have never had a complaint from a bride. They get rave reviews for offering excellent service and price in Bridal Bargains and many other places.

It is true that some manufacturers will SAY that DBS is not an authorized seller, but that is simply because of the competition between DBS and the traditional bridal salons. Believe me, we dealers provide very personalized service and offer all our other wedding accessories and invitations etc. At discount prices also. I am proud to be a dealer with Discount Bridal Service and happy to help any of you find a brand new, first quality gown at 20-40% off the retail price. Just contact me for a FREE quote.

You may be a good person and deal honetly but YOU are not an authorized seller of bridal gowns if you are part of DBS.
After all my problems, I did some checking in DBS and I know for a fact that DBS main headquaters is out of Maryland which in turn charges people who want to be in the bridal industry without really investing into the business the right way.
Yes DBS does offer a "discount" but DBS sellers get the gowns from 2nd, 3rd and even sometimes 4th suppliers or middlemen. Even the main DBS dealer has been and still is being investagated by many of the leading bridal designers. I have talk to many designers regarding my problem, and EVERYONE of the designers I spoke with told me that they do not sell to DBS and any DBS dealer stating to be an authorized retailer are illegally advertising and can be investagted and prosacuted.
So to all you brides to be, do your homework and make sure that where ever you buy your gowns, check to make sure they are a real store and aurthorized retaler.
For all you DBS dealers who post here, beware becasue you do not know who`s watching these posts and you may be investagted!!

My best friend order her dress and the bridesmaid dresses through an online discounter 2 years ago. She received a better price for all the dress (30% cheaper) and everything came exactly as requested. I am getting married this year and am using the same service for my dress. While I believe you can find great online discounters, just be cautious.

No respectable bridal manufacture endorses or approves of any DBS dealer. You DBS dealers "paid" to have your title as a DBS dealer. But this does not make you a bridal store. Many of DBS dealer do not spend the money nor the time on stock and training. Your so called training comes from a bride shop owner from MD and is just making money off people like you! Just becasue you attend a training seminar make you a bridal expert!! DBS is the AVON of the bridal selling business!!
And how do I know all of this? I do because I have the little booklet sent direcly from DBS. I have also seen letters from many bridal manufactures that have stop selling to the MAIN DBS store. I also have been told that many DBS dealers are and have been investagated from poor business dealings. SO to all the brides out there - check before you get anybody any money for your wedding dress or gowns!!

I had requested a price quote from the DBS website about a Maggie Sottero dress. A few days later I received an email with a price that was in no way "a great discounted price", yes it was a nice amount off the original price but still nothing that would make me want to buy it from them. Actually I had to laugh. I found the same dress from a bridal shop outside of New Orleans significantly cheaper. Yes they order an authentic brand new one.
