Looking For Anne Barge

I am looking for an Anne Barge dress from the Spring 2002 collection. Mikado silk, split bateau neckline with detailing on waist, insert and train. Full pleated skirt. Absolutely beautiful!
Thanks so much for your help.

Laurie,
I did find the dress and I wore it for my November wedding. It was absolutely perfect and I am so glad that I stuck it out and waited until I found this dress. When are you getting married?

One more thng Laurie....
I looked into custom gowns and replicas of this dress as well. I just want to warn you that although there are some incredible dress makers out there, the thing that really sets this dress apart is the detailing and fabric. This dress is made from Mikado silk and I am telling you that it is an incredible fabric. Don`t settle for anything less because in the end, you will be dissapointed.

Autumn,
I`m so glad you were able to find it for your wedding! I just found it at a Neiman Marcus outlet and it is cheap....but it has a few marks on it, so who knows if it will come clean. What size is your dress? Would you consider selling it?

Laurie,
My dress was a sample dress from a boutique in Arizona. It wasn`tt cheap, but it was discounted from the ticket price and it arrived perfect. It was the sample size 10 and it was a little big, but I didn`t have anyone alter it because I was afraid that they woudn`t do a perfect job.
I usually wear a size 4 or 6 depending on the brand of clothing. I hadn`t really thought about selling it, but I do hate the thought of my dress hanging in the closet for the rest of eternity. I honestly haven`t even picked it up from the cleaners and it did have some marks on it from the big day. Before I would consider selling it, I would want to make sure that it was absolutely perfect. Also, I want to make sure that we are, in fact, talking about the exact same dress. I don`t have any professional wedding pictures in digital form yet, but let me see if I have any of the snapshots... I could email you.

Autumn,
Thank you so much for the info, but I don`t think a 10 will work. I definitely need a twelve or fourteen. I am a street size 8 or 10. I have been faithfully dieting and losing weight slowly, so I will let you know if the 10 is a possibility down the road. My wedding is November 26. Thanks again!

I`m usually an 8, and I think the size 10 sample fitted me perfectly. I`m curious how much you`d charge for it. It was one of my favorites that I`d tried on, but I`d dismissed it b/c of price...but if the price is right...

Before I would consider selling the dress, I need to get it from the cleaners. I wouldn`t want to commit to sell my gown if it wasn`t perfect. I have to tell you that this truly is the most beautiful wedding dress out there (in my opinion)! I received so many compliments and comments that it was such a unique gown and just perfect lines. It reminds me of something Audrey Hepburn would wear. If the dress is in perfect condition when I pick it up from the cleaners, then I would consider selling it for about $1500.00 . I did get this dress discounted, but it certainly wasn`t inexpensive after shipping and tax.
Maybe less... I don`t know... I really hadn`t thought about it. If it has any marks (even bairly visible) I would not charge that much.

OK, well let me know what you think when you get the dress back from the cleaners. I`m interested, and my mom loved that dress, but I`m also still looking. I agree that it is a unique and stunning dress, you`re right about the Audrey Hepburn thing! I did feel like a star!
