Well it is said for the brides family to pay for the wedding/reception and the groom family would pay for the honeymoon.

Traditionally I think the bride`s parents pay for the wedding and reception, the groom`s parents pay for the rehearsal dinner, and the groom pays for the honeymoon. But these are traditions, not rules.

Traditionally, yes. The groom`s family hosted & paid for the rehearsal dinner, while the bride`s family hosted & paid for the ceremony & reception. Not sure re the honeymoon.
But today, such traditional etiquette is disappearing. For instance, couples more & more pay for or at least contribute to all expenses. Then, too, common sense ought to prevail. If the groom`s family is from out-of-town, expecting them to host the rehearsal dinner might be a bit much. And so on ...

Traditionally the grooms family pays for the rehearsal dinner, honeymoon and any alchohol served. The brides family pays for the rest, (ceremony, reception, pictures, etc)
