Mackinac Island Wedding

My fiance and I would like to get married on Mackinac Island, Michigan. The problem is that we have never been there and do not have time to visit. We are looking at the Grand Hotel and Mission Point Resort. I was wondering if anyone has been to a wedding at the Grand or Missionn Point? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanxs

I know this is an older post, but I worked on Mackinac Island for four summers, and I was even looking into getting married there. There are four churches that I can think of right now. St. Anne`s (Catholic), Mission Church (non-denominational but very colonial--I actually played guitar in a wedding of fellow employees there), Trinity (Episcopal, I beliveve) and Little Stone Church (non-denominational). The little Stone Church is beautiful. You have the Grand`s golf course behind it, a view of the Mackinac Bridge in front of it, and the Grand Hotel to the West. The only reason I`m not getting married up there is because it would be a little inconvenient for a few family member`s to travel. Log on or call the chamber of commerce. They can help you with everything you need, and don`t forget the horse and carriage ride post-wedding, pre-reception. Mackinac Island is a beautiful place. Rent "Somewhere in Time" with Christopher Reeve (filmed in the 70`s). Keep in mind that there are no palm trees or cars (as depicted in the movie), but it is gorgeous. Any other questions about the Island, please post. It`s been my second home for so much of my life, from a "Fudgie (tourist)," a "Yachty (my dad sailed the yacht races)," and my four summers as an employee.

I had a home in hubbards annex for 15 years. I can tell you that it is the most beautiful place in MI for sure, and probably North america.

Get married at the little stone church, I am going to
