Winter Theme Help!!!!
Im getting married December, 2004, i know its quite aways away but I was in an accident a little while back so i have nothing else to do but sit in bed or at the computer and plan my wedding!!!
Since everything is on sale i want to have it planned and as much as possible bought, and was wondering if I could get some ideas???
I have decided on black and gold mostly, with some dark green accents. Im having my bridesmaids in black sleevles dresses with bigger skirts by vera wang. I will be wearing a light gold dress, with a full pleated skirt and cap sleeves, and beading over the top. Lots of green boughs with twinkly lights and lots of candles. But I have no ideas for flowers (dont like poinsettias), or invitations, favours, decorating... You get the point :)
Were Danish so I will be having a Croquembouche for my wedding cake.
Any ideas are MORE then welcomed!!!!!!

Forgot to mention that we will be having quite a few Danish traditions, such as at some point during the reception the groom disappears and the male guests all kiss the new bride. After the groom returns his bride leaves the room and all of the female guests kiss him.
Also during the dancing, the guests gather around the groom to cut his tie and socks with scissors ( I know, that one is kind of odd) :)
I also realized I put Croquembouche for a Danish tradition, its actually Fench (for his side of the family).

Hello and Congratz on your upcoming big day..:)
Sorry to hear that you are not doing well.. Hope you get better soon..:)
Flowers that you might want to think about using with your other colors might be white or cream. Using white roses, casa blancas, freesia, snowflake mums, or hygrandeas. Using the white flowers with winter greens and maybe a few berries would make a beautiful bouquet. If you need any more help with flowers or have any questions please feel free to email me at angwillard@yahoo.com ..:)

What if you used tall wrought iron candelabras, thay have some really neat ones at astralyte.com!
I also saw an article in a brides magazine that said throwing little white feathers when the bride and groom leave looks like their being snowed on. I thought that sounded really pretty!
Best of luck!
