Propranolol is a heart medication. It is used to lower blood pressure, control heart rhythm abnormalities and angina (chest pain). Sometimes it is also given to reduce the risk of migraine headache. I would never recommend this to be taken simply to control some red blotches. Common side affects (not all are listed) include fatigue, slowed heart rate, congestive heart failure, heart valve blockages, pulmonary edema (swelling from fluid in the lungs), stroke, stomache ache, gas, pink eye, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, joint pain, sexual disfunction and decreased exercise tolerance, just to name a few. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure you research any medication before you ingest it. This may help to reduce the red botches you are discussing (though I`ve never seen any reasearch to promote this), however, the side effects and risks seem to be much greater than what the drug would be reducing. Cardiac (heart) medications should not be taken without a doctors proper supervision and ALL meds should be reasearched by you because remember that doctors can make errors too.
