Outdoor Wedding In March ???

Hi All! I was planning on having my wedding at a certain venue and they weren`t booked or anything then boom , the day I plan on taking the deposit in ,I call and say hey I`m coming in with the deposit , and the assistant manager gave the date to a couple whom just came in and it was an honest mistake because she did not know the manager was holding the date for 48 hours for me.

So now ...I`m thinking of doing it the first way I had really planned it and thats outside with the reception under a tent; but my wedding is at the end of March and I live in colorado, and I have no idea what to expect weather wise. How do I plan my wedding around not knowing what the weather is like ? It`s that or change the date to sometime in April ,when the weather is likely to be more hot than cold with possible rain .The rain is not the problem but snow would be.

Help!

Hi, Lyn

You may not want to have it outside if you are not sure of the weather. Chances are that it will be cold in March and that would not be very comfortable for your guests unless the tent is well heated. If the invitations have not gone out as yet I would just change it to a date where the venue has an opening or see if you can find somewhere else. If the reception is indoors then it doesn`t matter if it is cold or raining, the guests will be comfortable.
Wedding sites book up really fast and our date is July 4th. I had to change mine twice but it worked out for the best because I now have a better venue at only $250 for the church and reception hall.
Hope this helps. Have a blessed day and congrats.
