I Will Never Buy A Dress At David`s Bridal

I was shopping at a David`s Bridal on 10/25/03 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The wedding consultant (Jennifer) assigned to help me select and try on a wedding dress was rude and completely unprofessional. She insulted me and said that "dresses in plus sizes are hard to find." In additon, I was trying on a dress that was my size in wedding dresses, but she meagerly attempted to help me and said that "this dress is not going to fit you." The area outside of the fitting rooms was a disaster and I almost tripped on a tiera. When I tried to go over to a debris-free area with three way mirrors to get a full view of my dress, she told me that there wasn`t any room over there to look at dresses. I was completely insulted and unsatisfied by my visit to this store!

I will have to say that i was worried when i went to my davids bridal in north hills of pittsburgh, we went first to pick out bridesmaid dresses based on what i liked on their website and the consultants were very nice, they gave me a catalog and the business card and said to pick out some dress in the book and make an appointment when i was ready. A couple weeks later i did, i went in filled out the paperwork about the wedding. The consultant i was given took me to the plus sized racks and asked me to pick out at least 3 dresses, I showed her 2 in the book and she got them and she went and got my dressing room ready while we (mom and sister) picked a 3rd. I had lots of help from her, turns out i had to go 2 sizes smaller.... I walked out with the dress, a veil and tiara an hour and a half later. I plan to have my alterations done elsewhere. I had a very nice experience, and i was also pretty sure what i wanted too, even if the veil and tiara were a impluse buy.

I recently purchased a dress at David`s and had an absolutely wonderful experience. I brought just one person with me, and we choose to visit on a weekday morning. We didn`t have an appointment, but within five minutes of arriving, several employees swooped down to help us. Our salesperson (Jamie) was helpful, honest, and very prompt in service. Within about an hour, I had tried on over 15 dresses and found the perfect one! We returned later on in the evening to pick up the dress to find the store swamped with "packs" of bridal parties. My advice to you: 1. DON`T GO DURING EVENINGS OR WEEKENDS. Take the day off from work.. The service will be worth it! 2. DON`T BRING YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY. Even though everyone wants to help, sometimes more opinions are just "more." They`ll all eventually get to see you in your wedding dress. Why spoil the surprise? 3. LISTEN TO THE SALESPEOPLE. Even thoguh they`re trying to sell you a dress, they do this for a living. If they, the VENDOR, grimace when you try on a dress, think about that. Hope this helps! Thanks to David`s, I got my dress for $250-- marked down from $1000!

In contradiction with the posted message, I went to David`s Bridal in Arlington, Texas and my consultant, Betsy, couldn`t have been more charming. She helped me to find the perfect dress and all the accessories to go with it. On top of that, she even suggested some great bridesmaid`s dresses. Since I am getting married at a young age, many people criticize me, but she was very polite. I don`t think being rude is a David`s Bridal thing. I think it was just a bad experience on the part "Sam".
