I Will Never Buy A Dress At David`s Bridal
I was shopping at a David`s Bridal on 10/25/03 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The wedding consultant (Jennifer) assigned to help me select and try on a wedding dress was rude and completely unprofessional. She insulted me and said that "dresses in plus sizes are hard to find." In additon, I was trying on a dress that was my size in wedding dresses, but she meagerly attempted to help me and said that "this dress is not going to fit you." The area outside of the fitting rooms was a disaster and I almost tripped on a tiera. When I tried to go over to a debris-free area with three way mirrors to get a full view of my dress, she told me that there wasn`t any room over there to look at dresses. I was completely insulted and unsatisfied by my visit to this store!

Sorry for all that have had bad experiences but I bought my dress at Davids and had a good experience. I think some of the unpleasantness you`ve all experienced may be from the fact that you went in without an appointment. I don`t know about around the country be here in the midwest almost all your bridal stores (even small shops) require you to make an appointment, this way there is a consultant available to you. I called and asked David`s before going and they did require an appointment. Good luck to all of you!

I too had bad experience at David`s Bridal and I had a scheduled consultation. At that time they were having a $99 Dress Sale and I told the wedding consultant that I was interested in looking at those dresses first. She walked me over to the `Sale` section and then walked away. There I stood fumbling through the dresses and finally found one that I was interested in. I asked the consultant if I could try it on she then asked another consultant to help me. It turns out there was no one that could help me the other consultants were too busy with other customers…but yet I had a SCHEDULED consultation!!! So I had to try the dresses on by myself and believe me putting on a big wedding dress by yourself is not easy...I felt like a complete idiot. My fiancé was furious he approached the manager and asked that someone could help me. He told the manager that the consultant that I was working with wasn`t helping me at all. So finally my consultant helped me out of `obligation` like I should be so worthy of her services. First question she asked me was how much I was looking to spend...I said anywhere between $99 and $1000. After I said that she instantaneously became sooo helpful! That place was a joke I`m never going back let alone spending a dime there!

The ladies that work at David`s sound like a bunch of winey losers. I will never buy a dress there, there are tons of complaints on them on this site.
