Sure, go to Egypt on your honeymoon so that you can get shot right after you get married. Whooopie what fun. The Middle East is such a fun place to vacation....

What an ignorant person you are! You probably do not know where Egypt is. Infact Egypt is one of the safest places today. People can walk at 3 in the morning and not worry about getting shot, raped, or attacked.

Yes, there are places that are dangerous places to go in the Middle East such as Israel, Palestine, Lebanon....but trust me, Egypt is not a place you will get shot in.

Interesting, two of my college friends went to Egypt last month to see the pyramids and were both shot and killed. NO, it`s not that safe! I lost two of my best friends there you jerk.

I am sure you did lidia...hmmm.....didn`t hear about it on the news or in any newspaper...maybe you dreamed it. And I will not resort to name calling, as I am educated. More than I can say about you.....

Oh yes every murder makes the front pages of every newspaper in the world. What an idiot you are.

Lidia, if 2 Americans were shot in Egypt, or any other country it makes the paper, and they make it on the internet news. Just go to Yahoo.com

Again, I will not resort to name calling.......

There you go again assuming that they were American! These two people were NOT Americans! They were both from Kenya, not that it matters to someone like you.

What makes you think it would not matter to someone like me? Why did they get shot?

Well let`s see -- you A. Accused me of not knowing where Egypt was B. You accused me of lying about my friends getting shot C. You assumed they were American for whatever reason D. You are so adament that Egypt is so safe. E. You called me uneducated

Would I just decide Egypt is not a safe place to go for no reason and post this? No, obviously I have a reason to believe what I said. I recently lost two very good friends and am grieving their loss. They both took an extended-vacation and were traveling throughout Europe and the Middle East and were shot. One of them was going to be my bridesmaid in my upcoming wedding. I have a right to be angry with the situation.

By the way, I met these two individuals while attending grad school so apparently I do have an education.

Hmm...so your from Kenya. NO ONE has ever got shot in Kenya? To some degree violence is found in every country, but you need to look at the overall picture. If you read any of the literature about Egypt, you will find that it is one of the safest places in the world. I had to do a project on it, and that is why I know so much. I have also spoken with many people from Egypt and they are the nicest people anyone can meet. They tell me the same also....

Could you stop assuming things? I`m American! My two friends were from Kenya! I never said I was from Kenya, they were! It is pretty common for people from different countries to become friends.

It`s comical the way you think you know things that you don`t. Perhaps you should start thinking outside of the box.

HA! Could you possibly get your foot farther into your mouth?

I`m finding this amusing but would just like to add this: Caitlyn you are not as smart as you`d like us all to believe of else you`d us the correct `your` in your response. It should have been you`re not your. Also, a school project does not make you an expert on the country of Egypy. Saying that `they are the nicest people anyone can meet` is an ignorant generalized statement. No, not all Egyptians are nice; just like not all Americans are nice; not all Cubans are nice.

Is Yahoo.com now considered the Bible of current news and events in the world?

We at Pyramid Tours would like to offer our sympathies to your friends that passed away. It is a sad and extremely painful thing to have people you know pass away, especially if they are far away from you.

The only thing we agree with Caitlyn about is the fact that violence does occur in all parts of the world. We do not stop going to certain areas because we know that violence has occurred there. For example, Baltimore city is not one of the safest places, however, people continue to visit it because of the wonderful sites and services it offers.

We have been have been sending tours to Egypt for the last 25 years, and to date, we have not had anyone shot, hurt, or attacked. Everyone has come back safely (except maybe a slight sunburn, and we did have one person sprain their ankle).

Again Lidia, take care of your self, losing someone is a hard thing. We hope you will get over that fear, and will someday join us on one of our trips.

That was funny. I would still consider going to egypt, everyone, because there is no place like it in the world. Many mediterranean cruises also stop in Egypt, but I am not sure how much you can see in 1-2 days that a typical cruise spends. I was considering going to Italy and egypt in a cruise if I can find one that spends at least 3 days in egypt.

How DOES that foot taste?

A woman from Germany was vacationing in the States not too long ago and was shot and killed. Does that mean everyone should avoid vacationing here because it isn`t safe? I don`t think so. There are incidents of violence everywhere. That doesn`t mean the country is unsafe.

Egypt is safe to visit. It is ESPECIALLY safe if you book your vacation with a reputable tour. For those who want to go, don`t let Lidia sway you. Egypt is an incredible place to see.

When good friends are killed unexpectantly one must grieve. One of the steps of grieving is the `anger` phase. It`s quite obvious, and understandable, that Lidia is angry right now. She lost two friends, one of which was supposed to be in her upcoming wedding, and she is angry. She has every right to feel the way she does and people should be a bit more sympathetic to that. I`m sure in the future after she`s grieved she will realize that it has nothing to do with the country of Egypt, but simply the circumstances. It could happen to anyone anywhere, it all depends on when their time is.

Perhaps people could have a bit of compassion for someone who is obviously hurting over a significant loss.
