Ideas Colorado Mountain Weddings On A Budget
My fiance and I just got engaged 3 weeks ago. We have talked about getting married for some time. After much deliberation we had planned on eloping in Antigua since we will be paying for it all. Since we have got prices for that it`s around 5500. Anybody have an idea what kind of wedding we could put on for 80-100 guests for around 4000-5500? Is it possible to do this? We had talked about just doing appetizers and cocktails followed by cake. Any ideas? We would like to get married out side in the CO Mountains in October. The only other reason that we are entertaining the idea is since we have large families, and we are the oldest children/grandchildred and the first to get married as far as all of the grandchildren on both sides. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Brandon,
I do weddings in Utah, but I helped two of my brothers plan weddings in CO this past summer. I did a lot of research and if you are interested in finding out what I know just email me. One of my brothers spent about $4300 Was married in a chapel in Golden-Had a luncheon for 90 people at the Marriott and a reception for 200 later that evening(They got a deal on the Marriot because the bride worked there). My other brother had a wedding downtown in a church and a dinner for 110 that followed the ceremony in the basement of the church. They did the catering themselves and various family members helped with different things, but they ended up spending about $2700. I definitely think you can plan a wedding for 80-100 guests on that budget. My email is beckyglou@yahoo.com.
Have fun planning your wedding! (Whatever you decide to do.)

Hi, Brandon --
Don`t know your area, since we are around Philadelphia PA. But I can tell you that our wedding ~ w/ a 7-course Moroccan feast for 80 guests at $25/person ~ cost less than $4,000 total.
Good luck to you!

Sorry: didn`t really make my point! Ethnic restaurants can be wonderful sites for the ceremony as well as the reception.
