Hey i would not do bag pipes an anniversary because they are just to loud and aful i would sugest somthing in the string family if we are talking about a 50 60 year old couple but if we are not i would go ahead with the bagpipes if we have a 10 40 year old couple and you are scotish or irish.

Thanks for your comments Brittany. I`ve played pipes at several anniversary parties and they`ve worked very well. Yes, they can be loud in the wrong environment, but done properly, they can be quite awesome. There are also other, more quiet types of pipes that can be played.
