Wedding Gown Fabric Questions

I have been looking for a simple yet elegant gown for my beach wedding, a gown that does not take up lots of room so I can move around freely on the beach. So far I have no luck to find one I like. Thus, I am tossing the idea of having my wedding dress made. However, I do not know much about the wedding gown fabric. I know that the gown has at least three layers, underliner, middle and outer layer. The gown fabric needs to hold the shape and be comfortable, does not wrinkle nor gives static. Any other things I need to pay attention when I pick out fabrics? Any suggestion what materials are good for individual layer and are good together?
