I also had hankies made with snowflakes from the same lady on ebay and they came out so nice. In my reception room i had potted white birch trees with twinkle lights all over and all white flowers. I used these mikasa saint nick statues and he was in a forest of flowers and whit birch. My cake was squar with ice crystals and white roses all over and it was topped weith a snowflake cake topper from designs by dorian. Dorian is great and will mak ethe top anyway you want it. All my bridesmaids were deep purple velvet dresses and white faux fur shawls. The dresses we found on line and they were so so in expensive like 65.00 per girl with shipping. I thought because of the price that they wouldnt be great looking but there beautiful and come in lots of colors. My flower girl was in a white faux fur cape with a hood that i got for like 80.00 in the local bridal salon. My coat was hand made and trimmed with white fur and was a lot more expensive but way worth it. Any more questions just let me know ,

I recently read an artice about a woman who was planning a winter wonderland wedding. She decided to turn her flower girl into a "snow angel, " complete with wings, and glitter snowflakes instead of petals. I thought this was a great idea for myself and anyone out there planning a winter wonderland theme.

Hi everyone...I am gettting married Nov. 19, 2005. I am going with a winter theme as well. Colors are ice blue, white and silver. I am going to hang snowflakes with fish wire from the ceiling and on the wall. I am going to get tree brances and spray paint them white, and wrap white lights on them. There is a border about 1/2 up the wall at the hall, and I am going to put garland sprayed with the fake snow with lights and stick some silver decorations that I bought a Michaels(they have some nice silver Xmas decorations). My centerpieces are grand martini glasses with water and floating glass candles, with (white, silver and baby blue curly string) wrapped around the stem, placed on a round mirror with clear and light blue glass beads and clear snowflakes, and hersey kisses placed around the mirror and table. If you want pics after the wedding I will email them to you. I want to stray from the ivys and greens for a winter wedding, I want to do things different. My guest book is silver, with blank pages and get the guests to write what ever kind of wishes they want to write to us, b/c using the other kind of guest book, well I look at it like, ok they write their name and address, well we know who they are, and where they are from, we invited and sent them invitations, right? So it is something we can look back at and read. If I come up with anymore ideas I will post. This posting is getting long...Well good luck to everyone else...and Congrats!!!!! The countdown is on....so excited!!!

Hello, I`m getting married December 30, 2006 and I was just looking for some decorating ideas. Also perhaps some flower ideas. Our theme is more so christmas as oppose to winter wonderland. Our colors are red and green and we think that the church will be all set...just trying to think of some nice decorations for the hall. As it is there will be a christmas tree with white lights but having hard time with some small yet elegant touches to make the hall look nice. Any ideas anyone? If so please email me at mikeyandjenny@peoplepc.com. Thanks a bunch!!

I`m getting married Dec.23, 2006. I love your winter theme idea. My colors are going to be red, gold, and ivory. But do not want a cheesy christmas wedding. I`m looking for elegant ideas, not a santa clause and reindeer theme.LOL. I would appreciate any feedback.

Hello all,
I`m not getting married until 2008, but I am determined to have a "Winter Wonderland" theme. I know it`s NEVER too early to start planning, so I`m looking for any and all ideas from those who accomplished this theme for their wedding. All I know right now is I want to incorporate white, cream, and wine red into the colors. I was thinking the bridesmaids would have cream colored dresses with ruby colored beading on the bottom of the dress and my dress would have the same colored beading (but way more elaborate). But I`m at a loss for locations (would it be better to go somewhere where it`s snowing outside, i.e. Aspen, CO, to add to the ambiance or have it anywhere and just have the wedding and reception area decorated with the winter theme?), wedding cake design (although I do like the snowflake cake idea), food, flowers, etc. I have to accomodate around 800 guests (at least for the reception part if not the wedding itself) so it`s gonna take me these 2 1/2 years to get it together. Please send an ideas, stories, tips you may have to nicole_d_gibson@hotmail.com Thank you.

Hi everybody, I`m getting married Dec 9, 2006. I`m trying to figure out how to decorate the reception hall with a winter theme as opposed to Christmas. Our colors are red and white, but I think I really just want everthing to be white and silver, simple. All I can thing of right now is to have a lot of lights everywhere, but that`s not enough to decorate a huge room! Does anybody have any pictures? PIctures would be great! Also, my fiance is in the Marine Corps, does anybody have any ideas that I can casually, very casually!, use that to decorate a bit with? Please email me

I am getting married Decmber 21, 2006. It`s the winter colstus!!! Our theme is also `Winter Wonderland`. It is going to be amazing! Our colors are white, royal blue, and silver. For some decorations we are using snoflakes, fake snow, and christmas bulbs in our colors!!! We are also decorating banisters with tiny christmas lights. Party favors can be some kind of hot drink in a tin like cider or hot cocoa mix, but I couldn`t find any mixes that came in tins, so I am going to buy lots of hot cocoa and am going to put it in some kind of "winterish" bag and tie it off with ribbons of our colors and make chocolate covered spoons to go with! I also have many many other ideas!!! If you want or need some, just e-mail me at khristend@yahoo.com!!! Thanks so much!!!
