Number Of Guest At Reception
Hello,
I need to know is it appropriate to put on the reception reply cards how many guest can be invited. My finance and myself have large families and we really need to be able to tell them how many guest can attend from their family.

I am in the same situation! I think what is more appropriate is to just list the names of the ones who can come and who ARE invited. IHave them RSVP in a way that you get the name of EACH guest that will be attending, that weay you can tell if the ones not listed were planning on comming anyways, if they RSVP with more than the amount invited, then there is a problem, so you might have to give them a call and explain how you`d love for so and so to come but your catering, budget, etc. Only allows or has room for a certain amount of people.... TOUGH SITUATION! I also had my gma spread the word arount to all of my aunts and uncles that I could only invite a specific # of people due to the size of the reception hall and also that I wanted to keep budget costs down! I am going to send wedding announcements to those who I am unable to invite! Hope this helps a little!

The inner envelope is where you specify who is invited. If it`s a formal invitation the outside envelope should be addressed as:
Mr. & Mrs. John Doe
The inner envelope would be
John and Tina
Or if they have children THAT YOU ARE INVITING you can put
John, Tina, and family or
John, Tina, Beth, and Kim (if you want to specify their children`s names which can be helpful if they are older and have sig others -- then you are specifying that it`s only Beth and Kim not, Beth, Kim and guests)

Just to add though if..... Beth and Kim are 18 or over they should receive their own invitation.
